HSE Maintains Top Position in Russian University Ranking of English-language Websites
The Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) has presented an analytical report entitled 'Electronic Internationalisation Ranking of Russian Universities (2023).' One of its components is a ranking of English-language websites of Russian universities, with HSE University maintaining the top position.

Laws of Investment Attractiveness: Nizhny Novgorod Hosts Investment Leaders Forum
Nizhny Novgorod has hosted the Investment Leaders Forum organised by the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation jointly with executive authorities under the patronage of Nizhny Novgorod Region Governor Gleb Nikitin. The participants discussed the region's investment potential and highlighted the best practices in investment attraction and the support and implementation of investment projects. The forum was partnered with HSE University.
Team of HSE University and UNN Students Wins Hackathon to Create IT Centre
A joint team of students from HSE University in Nizhny Novgorod and Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod (UNN) won the main prize of the Smart Campus student hackathon and a certificate for 25 million roubles to create an inter-university IT centre. The award was presented by Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.

'Language Mosaic' Festival: Dialogue of Cultures and Languages Held at HSE University
Every year, approximately 25 languages disappear from the world's linguistic mosaic, which contains more than 7,000 languages. HSE University in Nizhny Novgorod at the initiative of the HSE Library hosted the festival, “Language Mosaic”, dedicated to International Mother Language Day.
HSE University Turns 30
Thirty years ago, on November 27, 1992, a historical event happened: the Russian government issued Order No. 917 ‘On the establishment of Higher School of Economics’. This year’s HSE University Competition for Faculty Positions has now begun at the university’s campuses in Moscow, St Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, and Perm. Applicants to the competition must select their preferred career trajectory (Academic, Teaching and Methodological, or Professional) and provide supporting information in the competition form.
HSE University Computer Science Teams Place First and Second in NERC ICPC 2022
Two teams from the HSE University Faculty of Computer Science (FCS) in Moscow have taken first and second place in the semi-finals of the 2022 International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC). The last time a single university took both first and second place was in 1997. Almost 250 teams took part in the event, five of which were from HSE University in Moscow. A team from HSE University in St Petersburg took fourth place. The winning team was awarded the winner’s trophy of the ICPC semi-finals, while the HSE University teams that placed second and fourth won gold medals.
