The Vice-Consul of France in Russia, Jean-Pierre Guillerme, was appointed to his position two months ago. This was Jean-Pierre Guillerme’s first time visiting Nizhny Novgorod with his new title. The main purpose of the visit to HSE’s Nizhny Novgorod campus was to meet with Gennady Ryabov, who is the Honorary Consul of the French Republic in Nizhny Novgorod and Advisor to the Director of HSE Nizhny Novgorod.

Joint MA programmes: a view from Italy

A press conference on discussion further development of the double degree programme took place at the University of Tuscia, Viterbo, Italy. University Rector Alessandro Rugieri said that, in Italy people understand how important cooperation with Russia is – in particular cooperation with HSE in Nizhny Novgorod – which is home to over a million residents and plays a key role in the country’s economic life.

HSE Nizhny Novgorod has become something of a hub linking businesspeople from France and representatives of leading economic sectors in the region. Students with the French Presidential Programme had a chance to meet HSE graduates who now lead or are specialists in companies in Nizhny Novgorod. The French delegation included people from the instrument-making industry, electronics firms, strategic management and organizational development, and specialists in software and other industries.

International Students Awarded Diplomas for Completing HSE Summer School

Economics and linguistics students from Italy and Belgium have successfully completed HSE Nizhny Novgorod’s Summer School on the ‘Financial Environment and Financial Policy of Firms in Russia.’ Certificates were awarded to Tuscia University (Viterbo, Italy) students Sarah Manzi, Martha Faraoni, and Andrea Santakvilani, as well as University of Antwerp student Manu Reynaert.
