Summer School ‘Does Russia Have a Strategy? Understanding Economic Change’ Supported by DAAD

At the end of August 2017 the international summer school on Russia’s economic development ‘Does Russia Have A Strategy? Understanding Economic Change’ will be held at HSE Nizhny Novgorod for the fourth time. This year the school has again entered the list of summer schools, supported by the German academic exchange service DAAD.

HSE - Nizhny Novgorod offers a Master's programme 'Global Business' which is taught in English in collaboration with Johannes Kepler University (Austria) and University of Bergamo (Italy). Students from these educational institutions have got a chance to study one semester in Russia, and other semesters – at partner universities in Austria and Italy.

HSE LATNA Laboratory Partners with KPMG

HSE Laboratory of Algorithms and Technologies for Network Analysis (LATNA) has entered into a collaboration agreement with KPMB, one of the biggest international companies that provides consulting and audit services. The collaboration implies cooperation on projects for the Russian and international markets, which require mastery in intellectual data analysis, computer-aided instruction and solution for complex optimization tasks.

Luiz Moutinho, a leading expert in marketing, the founder of FutureCast Lab - the laboratory for marketing forecasting, and Professor of BioMarketing and Futures Research at Dublin City University Business School, delivered a lecture on ‘Digital and Mobile Marketing Trends’ for students of the master’s programmes in Marketing and Global Business.

On November 23 at 4 p.m., on the eve of Thanksgiving Day,  HSE-NN instructor Christian Lloyd and exchange student of the Humanities faculty Michelle Eggen presented the USA to International Club members and told the audience about the country’s history, customs, traditions, holidays and parks, famous people, popular sports and Thanksgiving celebration.

A round table ‘Tolerance: New Perspectives and Stereotypes in Russia and Abroad’ timed to conincide with the International Day for Tolerance declared by UNESCO in 1995 and observed on November 16th, was held at HSE Nizhny Novgorod. The event was organised by the Faculty of Humanities, the International Relations Office, and the Department for Educational work at HSE Nizhny Novgorod.
