Global Business Students Presented Projects at Bergamo

The international modules of the master’s programme in Global Business have come to an end, and students have defended their projects, which they worked on for several months, at the University of Bergamo, Italy. Representatives of companies for whom the students prepared their projects as well as the representatives of three partner universities — Johannes Kepler University Linz (Austria), the University of Bergamo (Italy)  and HSE (Russia) — all took part in the event.

6th International Conference on Network Analysis Took Place at HSE Nizhny Novgorod

The conference on network analysis aims to bring together scientists and engineers, representatives from the government and universities to exchange knowledge and results on a broad range of topics related to the theory and practice of network analysis. The conference also covered algorithms on graphs, networks, discrete optimization and applications.

HSE Students Work on Research Project for Arsenal

1st-year students of the master's programme in Marketing conduct research for Arsenal (National Centre for Contemporary Arts Volga-Vyatka region branch) as part of the brand management course. The students work in small groups, and each group analyses and makes recommendations on brand development and interaction with the target audience. The presentation of preliminary results will take place in June.

Science Reflected in Literature

Dr. Elmar Schenkel is a Professor at the Institute of English Studies, University of Leipzig. He visited HSE in Nizhny Novgorod in early April at the invitation of the Faculty of Humanities. He has talked to the HSE Look about his research interests and collaboration with HSE.

Summer School on Russian Language and Culture Starts in Nizhny Novgorod

Ten students from the Brigham Young University (Utah, USA) have arrived in Nizhny Novgorod for the Summer School on Russian Language and Culture. Between now and midsummer the students will attend lectures on intercultural communication, literature and Russian history as well as improving their knowledge of Russian.

HSE Staff Members Presented Reports at Conference in New York

A panel discussion ‘Beyond the Oligarchs: A Survey of Russian’s Vibrant High-Tech Sector and the Law’ was held in New York as part of the ‘American Bar Association Section of International Law 2016 Spring Meeting’ international conference.  Mikhail G. Nazarov  and Nadezhda N. Butryumova, Associate Professors at the Department of Venture Management and Experts at the ‘Administration of Innovative Systems’ Project Laboratory, took part in the event both as organisers and participants.

On April 14th, the KPMG 2016 Inter-university Case Competition for students of Nizhny Novgorod’s universities took place at the KPMG office. Students of the Faculty of Economics of HSE Nizhny Novgorod took first place in the contest.
